Maintenance Worker

These position are located at the Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi near the cities of Natchez, Port Gibson, Ridgeland, Kosciusko, Mantee, and Tupelo, in Alabama near the city of Cherokee, and in Tennessee near the cites of Hohenwald and Franklin. The primary function of Maintenance Worker is to collect and dispose of trash from roadsides, remove limbs and other obstructions from roadsides and grounds, and clean restrooms and other facilities along the Parkway. Maintenance Workers also operate small equipment such as leaf blowers, chainsaws and string trimmers. Maintenance Workers also perform minor maintenance duties on all Parkway facilities and assist higher-level tradesmen on more complex tasks. Maintenance Workers most often work alone and possess all necessary authority and autonomy to execute normal duties. Emergency call-outs can occur 24/7.
