The incumbent is responsible for the preservation, interpretation, maintenance, administration, and development of the parks, and the safety and well-being of staff, volunteers, and visitors for the parks. Provides direction, management, supervision and evaluation of park programs ensuring effectiveness and cost efficiency. Provides leadership in the development of policies, standards and procedures which govern the professional conduct of work related to the administration and implementation of the programs, including the functional areas of public use management, resource stewardship, education and interpretation, fiscal and human resources management, park maintenance, visitor services, safety management, park partnerships, public affairs, budget planning and execution, and park development. As the principal line officer, the incumbent serves as the focal point in the Parks for providing leadership, motivation, direction, and decisions required to implement and carry out multiple use and natural/cultural resource management within an organization containing a large variety of resources. The Natchez Trace Parkway hosts over 5.7 million recreational visitors and over 13 million visitors each year. The Park has an annual budget of $14.1 million; with $11.3 million of that total from ONPS and the.balance from other sources such as fee demo, franchise fees, cyclic maintenance, repair/rehab, Federal Highway Administration and line-item construction. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-02/19/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect either full-time or 40 hours per week. If a part-time work schedule is reflected, the hours must be annotated to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. This experience includes activities such as:
managing the overall operations and resources of a large organization, developing and implementing high-level strategic plans of an organization; applying extensive knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelines relating to the administrative and overall management of a large organization and handling a broad range of complex issues associated with the management of large organizational unit. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
