1K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, the Assistant Facility Maintenance Associate primary responsibility is to support the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the facility.
This may include assisting with repairs, performing routine maintenance tasks, and addressing residents' maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Assist the maintenance team with various repair and maintenance tasks.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance issues.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and address their concerns.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as:
changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, fixing minor electrical, fixing other plumbing issues, performing drywall repairs and painting.
Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate maintenance efforts and ensure resident satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed tasks and materials used.
Follow established safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of community events or activities, as needed.
Support the overall up-keep and repairs of the facility.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
Good communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and management.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Familiarity with safety procedures and the ability to follow them diligently.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
