Laboratory Technician in a CLIA certified high complexity infectious disease molecular diagnostic lab Compensation:
$19/hour, comprehensive benefits offered after 90 days.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts after training.
Urgent care setting, weekends and some holidays are required.
The position starts June 2023 and requires_ a one-year employment contract.
_ Required education:
Baccalaureate degree in Biological, Chemical or Physical science from an accredited university, and/or MLT or MT degree from an accredited institution.
The candidate must meet CLIA requirements (CFR 493.
1489) for high complexity testing personnel.
Molecular biology experience/knowledge a plus.
Pipetting experience preferred.

Reports to Laboratory Supervisor After training, works independently in the lab Adheres to all HIPAA, state, and federal regulations Performs nucleic acid extraction and PCR assays on patient samples Performs Quality Control assays Interprets and reports testing results to practitioners Reports reportable diseases to the Mississippi Department of Health Lab maintenance Job Type:
